Dualit 4-Slice Toaster, Petal Pink
Dualit 4-Slice Toaster, Petal Pink I did. I bought a pink toaster. – Real Name – Los Angeles, CA
I bought a pink toaster. I read the reviews. I bought a 0 pink toaster. And I don’t even eat toast regularly. I think my grandchildren, if I had any, would appreciate my foresight.
Dualit: 40420 The Dualit Classic Toaster combines simplicity and sophistication perfectly. With extra wide 28mm slots to accommodate a Sandwich Cage and the award winning ProHeat elements, a patented design which increases toasting efficiency & element longevity, every toaster has a removable crumb tray and an adjustable rear foot. Clever wire guards adjust to the width of the bread to keep it central during toasting. The Sandwich Cage, which has a built in drip tray, can be purchased as an optional accessory. Engineered in England and hand-assembled to the last detail, the Dualit 4-slice toaster is that ideal accomplishment–a hardworking kitchen appliance with an elegant presence. Its curvy retro shape is undeniably handsome and its structural components withstand the rigors of a high-octane kitchen. In fact, the toaster can output up to 130 slices per hour, should the entire neighborhood ever depend on you for breakfast or tea.
The key to Dualit’s exceptionally even browning is the toaster’s system of patented ProHeat elements, a series of flat bars behind a smooth, transparent coating. The result is an efficient, durable design, suitable for everything from brioche to sandwiches. The elements are encased by a rugged, stainless-steel housing that you may not even recognize as a relative of its lightweight, plasticky peers. Each slot measures 28 mm wide and is extra deep to allow for the use of the Dualit sandwich cage (sold separately). One adjustable leg accommodates uneven surfaces and rubberized feet protect your countertop.
The Dualit toaster has manually operated functions and is designed for people who like to engage with their appliances. Operation is simple but rewarding. A rocker switch selects 2- or 4-slice toasting, and a 4-minute timer knob lets you fine-tune browning time. Instead of a pop-up function that can prematurely cool toast, the unit comes with an ejector knob that you raise when you’re ready for it. For smaller households or busy kitchens, Dualit also makes 2- and 3-slice models. All Dualit toasters come with a one-year warranty. –Emily Bedard

Creative EP 630 In-Ear-Ohrhörer blau
Creative EP 630 In-Ear-Ohrhörer blau ok but nothing special… – Christophe Delaunay – Spain
I bought this product a month ago and though I take good care of it cos I know that they are little flimsy things, the cable end is already out of the plug…Not cute but I’ll have to put some tape or glue it somehow. Besides the cable is kinda made from non-slippery material which, at the same time, makes it rather unflexible.
The sound quality is ok. I had a Sony set before and I have the impression it was better. But value for money.

HP 4.7GB 16X DVD-R with Inkjet Printable Surface (50pk Spindle)
About 2/3 of these disks failed on my iMac – A. Lipman –
About 2/3 of these disks failed. Often, they were ejected before the burning process could even start. Other times, they seemed to be burning fine, but then verification would fail. I have an iMac computer. Maybe that has something to do with the fact that my experience with these blank DVDs was different from the glowing reviews given by others.
I bought a pack of TDK blank DVDs, and I’ve had a 100% success rate with the 20 disks that I’ve burned.

Two Ears, one Mouth- How Long Should You Talk?
Q – The real question is – how long will your audience pay attention?
A – In business, or business presentations, timing is everything, according to Christina Kaya, who heads Kayaco Seminars, (Kayaco.com) specializing in communication skills development for business. Holding the attention of your listeners for the duration of a presentation is easy when you understand that there are predictable patterns in the way people pay attention. Speakers who know how to work with these attention patterns can hold the attention of an audience to gain commitment and prompt action.
How do you hold the attention of your audience? Studies in brain research indicate that as the length of a presentation increases, the time the audience spends in “down-time” increases. During a twenty-minute presentation, the audience is absorbing and retaining information for approximately 18 of those 20 minutes, or 90% of the total presentation time. A 40-minute presentation only commands full attention 75% of the time. During an 80-minute presentation, listeners are in “down-time” for 30 of those 80 minutes.
Twenty minutes is the optimum time frame for one-way delivery of information. Presentations that require a longer format should be designed with 20-minute modules. This involves planning a major change every 20 minutes, with a change in the use of technology, or audience involvement.
There are also “micro-cycles” of attention within these 20-minute time frames. People “tune in” and “tune out” on a regular basis. At any time during a presentation, the audience “tunes in” and actively takes in information, then “tunes out”, or goes into “down time” to process the information. Studies have shown that these cycles are between 35 and 55 seconds of uptime, followed by two or three seconds of “down time”. If you time your presentation to match these cycles you are guaranteed to hold attention from start to finish.
The opening of a business presentation is one of the most important “micro-cycles” to plan. As the saying goes, “you don’t get a second chance to make a good first impression”. How many times have you attended a presentation where the opening statements took too long? Opening statements should ideally take no longer than 55 seconds to deliver. When opening statements run longer than a minute, some of the information is being missed, because virtually everyone has spontaneously gone into “down time”!
So the next time you have to make a business presentation, get out your stopwatch and time your material. In business – and in business presentations, timing is everything!

Dualit 84038 Cordless Coffee Percolator
Dualit 84038 Cordless Coffee Percolator Most suitable for tea, do not use for coffee – Made in China – A. Carroll – Phoenix Metro, AZ USA
I purchased this item in hopes that I was going to get a percolator made in the great country of Britain. Unfortunately, it is of British design, but like just about anything with a plug nowadays it’s made in China. I have no doubt that it is wonderful for tea, but it is completely inappropriate for coffee. The basket is very short, and when the water percolates into the basket, the grinds float up and then out into the coffee. We were having to strain the coffee, and still ended up with grounds in our cup–a lot of them.
We even attempted to use a paper filter above the grounds, but it still floated grounds up. It is essentially an 8 cup tea maker. I would NOT attempt to make coffee in it again. I have since returned the item to Amazon, thankfully. We are now using the Farberware 12 cup percolator and it makes coffee quite well. If you’ve never tried perc’d coffee, you should. I cannot drink drip coffee without gagging.
Unfortunately, Farberware’s is also made in China. It appears just about all the coffee percolators are made in China. Maybe one day we’ll learn how to manufacture items in our country again.
Dualit: 84037 The Dualit coffee percolator doesn’t just stand out in your kitchen because of its stylish look, but also performs great and delivers superb coffee results. Being cordless makes it perfect to simply set right on the table just in time for dessert after approx. 10 minutes of brew time.
